Debonair:

It was a pleasure, Sir!

My analysis from my own result card:

1) Muslim Law and Jurisprudence didn't get me the 80 marks that I was expecting. There was no subjective question in the question paper that I did not know. I ticked all the eight questions when I read it first and then double checked the four questions that I could attempt best. I got 13+ objectives right. But my score is still 60. Nevertheless, I have not seen anything getting higher than that.

2) Indo Pak history has been extremely low scoring this time. Though all candidates who opted it have suffered. But still it brings them down in overall Pakistan merit. I am amazed that our Pakistan topper also had it.

3) All Sindhi speaking candidates must opt for Sindhi subject. It rewards generously.

My advice to all candidates is not to lose heart even if they are not satisfied with their performance in any single paper. This should not become a reason for losing enthusiasm for rest of the exams. I thought I hadn't done well in Essay. And I have got 62 marks in that subject. I have not seen anyone until now who got such a high score.

I crossed an entire question in Islamiat. In that particular exam, I had a feeling while taking the exam that I might fail. But I still recollected strength and went on. I got 66/100. I haven't seen anyone having this score as well.

So... just do your best while you're attempting the exam. You never know what might happen. The commission has been reasonably fair in its marking. I believe all the candidates who got ahead of me deserved it.

Regards.

Dear Adil Memon,

Here I want to put forward something that I find true for many fellows who are trying to opt for Sindhi.

Brother, when you think about opting Sindhi, rest assured that you will need to work hard since it is very important because you will not get marks only because you have opted Sindhi. I know few candidates who were not selected because they failed in Sindhi. Therefore, it is very necessary to take Sindhi Subject serious else you will suffer.
I wish you all the very best!

Salaam,

Dear Dr. Farrukh Sahib,

I agree with you. In CSS you have to work hard for every subject. And I was not trying to advise anyone against that.

My point was that working hard in Sindhi is more rewarding than in any other subject. Fact: All the top five position holders from Sindh had Sindhi as an optional. And their average score is 80. Sajid Baloch, the Sindh Urban topper, had 71. While Tariq Chandio, overall Sindh topper, got 93. 70+ score in any subject in CSS is a matter of envy for candidates. Smiley

Regards.

CSS has a trend of taking one subject and scoring it low for a few years (usually three) in a row. that trend has been repeated every so often. i think it has to do with encouraging a subject and discouraging others. in the 05,06,07 C-law took a beating. not many people were able to score very high in that subject. i think they have now focused their attention to Indo-Pak history since a lot of students take that.
