there was a post a while ago about this topic. and i thought since that had gone a little old, i would start a new discussion. there were some questions asked in that i would like to answer.
I keep stressing the importance of general reading. general reading helps you in so many ways and you dont even notice. it broadens your horizons. it expands your vocabulary. it improves your grammar. it does everything that you would need for the english papers. and best of all its fun to read. its not a burden.
I stress reading the economist. many people in the previous post thought that there were other maazines that could be read like Time and NewsWeek. while those two are good journals, i think the economist is better for a couple of reasons.
first, the economist is comprehensive. it writes about all the major evens that happen around the world.that is not the case with the other magaznes . they usually are in the habit of making some big reports about one or two things in particular. so their reporting is usually centered on one or two things per issue.
second, i like the English used in the Economist way better. precise use of words. concise and effective. you need that kind of writing anywhere.

Dear sir,

I like your point of view and also used to focus on economists' journals and thier interview as a result it really works day by day we didn't realize that fact increase vocabulary with effective context, comprehensive way of thinking and increased wide scene of learning.

Its my experience and perception it increase the correct way of thinking with effective words which describe all the scope of subject in one line.
Thank you for your valuable words,
The best regards,
SADAF
