hey, i just wanted to ask,Is there a penalty for NOT attempting a compulsory question?

for instance, in Arabic paper candidates are required to write an essay in Arabic on the given topic.but since there is no choice of topics, one may end up leaving the question altogether,even though its a compulsory one...in addition to the loss of marks, will there be some other punishment?!

Dear Curious,

To best of my knowledge, loss of marks is the max one can suffer for leaving any question unanswered. There is no other penalty.
